Three Gold Rush era cities along the American River, Folsom, Placerville, Auburn are all along the American River rich in history during the gold rush time.

Gold Rush towns also have a vibrant music community. Each has their uniqueness.

Folsom, where I live, has a history with Johnny Cash playing Folsom prison and Folsom lake college performing arts center the Harris center three stages.

Placerville with the green room and the fairgrounds where Hangtown and the Golden Road gathering take place.
